1. What is a Digital Life Vault?

A Digital Vault creates a back up of your life. It securely captures stores and helps you to organise everything in your life, digitally.

From properties to valuables, policies to legal papers – everything. For each item you can associate documents, links to online accounts & create alerts  – making your life simpler and easier!

2. What can I store in my Digital Life Vault

Everything associated with your life , including but not limited to :

Personal ID, Property, Cars/Vehicles, Pensions, Wills/LPAs, Valuables, Insurance Policies, Investment, Bank Accounts, Income, Bills, Pets, Tax returns…. the list is endless.

No more hunting around for that elusive paper document – have it all organised and accessible in one place.

3. Can you give me an example ?

Let’s take an example of a property. You can stores details of one or multiple properties, from you main home to buy to lets and even a holiday home.

Simply add it into your Vault and add all the relevant details to help you manage it including:

  • Type of home (main home, holiday home, rentals…)
  • The market value of the property
  • Mortgage information
  • Insurance details
  • Special notes
  • Legal Documents
  • Tenancy including rental income, safety certificates etc..
  • Add reminders

Basically anything and everything associated with the property – so its all in one place !

4. Can I use the Digital Vault to store details of all my valuables?

Yes ! – this is one of the reasons we developed the Digital Vault, to help store details of valuables and assets for insurance purposes.

Anything from a painting, collectors item, watch to a diamond ring.

The vault allows you to:

  • Record the details of the item
  • Add details like the serial number
  • Details of when it was purchased
  • A copy of the receipt
  • A valuation
  • Details of any warranty or supporting documentation

The Digital Vault not only enables you to store every valuable you have, but more importantly, derives an accurate figure, so you know exactly how much insurance cover you need.

If you had to make a claim, would you be able to provide the insurance company with the details to recover your loss? – with the Digital Vault you can.

5. Is the Digital Vault secure?

Yes. We take security very seriously. We have implemented multiple layers of security and encrypt data to keep your data safe.

Secure Access:

  • Login with username & secure password
  • 2 factor authentication (2FA)
  • 4-digit pin to open your Vault.

Data Encryption

Not only we do encrypt the database but also fully encrypt all your stored documents.

Private (Unlisted) website

The website is private and only made available to users. We are not advertising the site on the web to unwanted attention, thereby providing a further layer of security. We can also offer a completely privately hosted site secured by IP restrictions and/or only accessible via a VPN connection for private clients (note extra costs apply).

24-7 -365 Site Access Monitoring

  • We monitor access to the site for unauthorised access or failed logins
  • We also log all active sessions
  • We regularly change the web address to ensure it remains protected.
  • If we receive alerts of multiple failed logins we will proactively change the web address and notify users to keep the site safe.

6. How much does it cost?

We believe a Digital Vault should be accessible to all, so we operate a simple, low-cost subscription model:

  • You can have your own vault for just £5 per month, this includes 500MB document storage space .
  • If you need more storage, then simply add more storage as you need it at £1.00 per GB
  • Subscriptions are payable from 1st of each month or part month (in advance)

7. Can I cancel anytime?

Yes,  so you just pay monthly, there are no long-term subscriptions.

  • If you want to cancel, simply provide one month’s notice.
  • We will close your account and retain your data for 30 days (just in case you change your mind) then we will remove all traces of your data and account.

If you cancel your account 7 days before the next subscription is due that’s it you have nothing further to pay.

8. How easy is it to use?

Yes, simply login, select the vault item (e.g. car) and start adding information, documents and set any reminders/alerts, it’s really that simple. It can be used on a computer, tablet or phone.

We do recommend using a browser when administering the account as it makes it much simpler to manage and upload documents.

We can provide one-on-one support if required (online via “Zoom” with a real person for a small extra charge) and also offer a fully managed service (see next question) if you do not have the time.

9. Can you help set up and manage my Digital Vault for me?

Yes, if you don’t have the time or want us to do it, we can help. We can set up and manage your vault.

Our hourly rate is set at £40 per hour (+ VAT) alternatively we can provide a fixed monthly fee for  managing your Vault.

10. Can I link my Digital Vault to my Will?

Yes, again this was one of the main reasons for developing the Digital Vault.

Billions are lost in unclaimed assets. The Digital Vault solves that problem, on a death, access to the Digital Vault can be released to the Executors of the Will for probate purposes to ensure the full estate and inheritance can be considered and passed onto the nominated beneficiaries.

You simply nominate the executors and it can be stored as part of your Will.

A unique code is provided such that upon a death the nominated executors can access to your Vault, simplifying probate and reducing the stress.

11. Can the Digital Vault be used to store online passwords ?

Yes, you can use the Digital Vault to store login details website and passwords for your online accounts. However we do recommend use of a dedicated “password manager” and we can help you set one up and provide training on a one-on-one basis.

We can help you to secure your online accounts and simplify it so you can secure every account and login, yet keep it simple enough for you to operate from all your electronic devices.

Whilst we offer the Digital Vault, we can provide general advise on software and security to private individuals as well as companies, se our main site services for further details.

12. I am a Company - Can I offer Digital Clients to my private Clients?

Yes,  we can rebrand the site and link it to your main website to support your private client businesses and is widely used by IFAs, Accountants and legal firms.

13. Can it be customised and designed to solve other problems?

Yes,  we can enhance and customise it as a base to develop and store other types of private information for companies and private individuals, contact us for further information.
